When I first moved to the UK, I worked as a carer visiting people in their homes to help with daily life. During those visits, I started noticing something remarkable: nearly every person I supported had a dog or cat by their side. Many of these pets weren't just companions - they were helpers, healers and lifelines. From therapy dogs supporting those with seizures to cats offering quiet comfort. They played an essential role in their owners' wellbeing.  

One day, I asked a resident if she’d ever tried supplements to help her dog, who was constantly scratching.
